Today, being a Saturday, I went to Fencing (as I normally do). I fenced against several people, enjoying a few wins and many losses. During one particularly strenuous bout, my opponent lunged perhaps a tad too far, hitting me rather squarely in the chest snapping his sword in half in the process.

Yes, I am so strong that blades break upon me. This makes me awesome, I think. And tough like woah. And kind of badass.

And just for the record, while I do not look particularly badass, my opponent looks even less so. We are two of the least badass, tough-looking people in the club. And yet he broke a sword upon me. It was hilarious.


In other news, despite essays and homework assignments and co-op job interviews and a ten-page research paper this month, I just finished my NaNoWriMo novel. The novel ended at 50,131 words. I swear, these things get closer to the intended goal every year.
